A Doncaster man has appeared before court today (Monday 3 September) charged
with three counts of rape.
Anthony Dorey, 25, of Howville Road, Hatfield Woodhouse, appeared before
Doncaster Magistrates’ Court charged with three counts of rape.
The charges relate to alleged offences committed on three separate
occasions, between 2016 and 2018 in Doncaster, against adult women.
On Sunday 2 September, police received a report that a woman in her 20s had
been raped after a night out in Doncaster town centre. All three victims are
receiving support from officers.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before Sheffield Crown Court on 1
October 2018.
Anyone with any concerns is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident
number 218 of 2 September 2018.

He is due to appear in court in Edinburgh later today. Sky News are reporting that proceedings are now live under the Contempt of Court Act. Police did not say what Salmond, who served as first minister from 2007 to 2014, is charged with. Two people have made harassment complaints against the SNP grandee but he denies them and took successful legal action against the Scottish government over their investigation. Earlier this month a court said the government’s decisions were “procedurally unfair and… tainted with apparent bias”. At the time Salmond said he is “not guilty of any criminality whatsoever.” The party leader resigned following the loss of the Scottish independence referendum but represented Gordon in the House of Commons from 2015 to 2017.
