Learn about Darwin’s discoveries, medical advances and the strangely named substances our chemists sold in days gone by, at a new Victorian Science Exhibition being hosted at Clifton Park Museum.

See what the Victorians discovered in the fields of biology, chemistry and physics. Marvel at ingenious devices and ideas, or squirm at some of the more unpleasant objects and aspects of Victorian life!

Rotherham Council’s Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood Working and Cultural Services, Councillor Taiba Yasseen, said: “A visit to Clifton Park Museum is always both fun and educational, and this latest exhibition is no exception!

“As part of your visit why not take a look at the new Victorian invention and innovation gallery? This shows innovations in our coal, steel, glass and brass industries, and things the Victorians invented that are still used today.”

Clifton Park Museum, on Clifton Lane, will also begin Sunday opening for the summer season from this weekend (1.30 – 4.30pm).
