A Doncaster man is now serving over four years behind bars after being
found with large amounts of heroin and cocaine stashed in his flat.

In October last year, officers from Doncaster’s Fortify teams executed a
warrant at the flat in Shetland Gardens, Intake.

On searching the property, the home of 20-year-old Mitchell Cooley,
quantities of heroin, cocaine, MDMA, cannabis and spice were found,
along with over a kilo of mixing agents.

Cooley was immediately arrested and brought into custody where he has
been remanded since. He appeared before Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday
19 March and was jailed for four and a half years after pleading guilty
to possession with intent to supply.

PC Mark Roostan, the investigating officer, said: “Large quantities of
Class A drugs were recovered from Cooley’s flat, estimated at having a
combined street value of over £15,000 and I’m pleased that we’ve been
able to remove these from the streets of Doncaster.

“Every week we are carrying out operations and executing warrants to
disrupt criminality such as this and identify those involved and
Cooley’s jail term is as a direct result of that.”
