The spooky Yorkshire Wildlife Park transformed into a mythical world
during their Halloween themed-carnival.
The award-winning park was filled with an array of mystical beasts and
creepy characters and hosted a cast of thrilling events for visitors to
enjoy.
The spooky goings on included live shows with professional actors and
the chance to get hands-on with crafts and games.
“We absolutely loved our Creepy Carnival – it was a huge success.
Everyone got into the Halloween spirit and the majority of our visitors
were in fancy dress,” said Chris White, Events Manager, of the park, at
Branton, near Doncaster.
YWP’s Creepy Carnival ran for three days over Halloween, from October
27th to 29th, and was a great opportunity for children of all ages to
experience the park with a fun Halloween twist.
Visitors experienced a chilling but family friendly collection of
ghoulish entertainment and enjoyed an unrivalled opportunity to come
almost face to face with some of the world’s most beautiful and
endangered animals.
Chris added: “We had coconut shy, hoopla stalls and over 40 performers
over the weekend, it was definitely our biggest Halloween event so far.
“After the success of the Creepy Carnival with our visitors, we can’t
wait for our Christmas events.”
Children also had the opportunity to have their face painted, learn
clown skills and enjoy free craft workshops.
A variety of live shows were held including the fun, family panto-style
show ‘Jojo and the Book of Life’, and ‘The Creepiest Carnival’ where
visitors watched an array of carnival characters who told their stories
with music, dance and pyrotechnics in an unforgettable show.
YWP, one of the fastest growing wildlife attractions in the UK, offers
families an entertaining, fun filled and educational day out.
The park, which opened in 2009, allows visitors to get up close to some
of the world’s most endangered and beautiful animals, including Amur
Leopards and Tigers, African lions, and the country’s only Polar Bears,
in a breath-taking walkthrough adventure.
