Changes will be made to buses in Rotherham and across South Yorkshire,
following a public consultation on how often and where services should
run.

Nearly 1,000 people gave their views on the proposals, including
improvements to punctuality, frequency and routes.

South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE) Executive
Director, Stephen Edwards, said:

“Service changes that are shaped by passengers, wherever possible, help
to make sure local bus partnerships can continue to meet community
needs. These changes aim to improve the frequency of services on busy
corridors, and provide better access to places of employment, education
and hospitals.”

Revised timetables will be in place from Sunday 3 March, on services
including X78, X1, A1, 13, 23, 27, 29, 31, 34, 37, 66, 72, 74/74a,
111/112, 114, 115, 116, 135, 136, 137, 138, 139, 140, 141,142, 227, and
new services X74 and 208.

The changes coincide with the re-opening of Rotherham Interchange,
following a £12m redevelopment scheme.
