Aston-cum-Aughton Leisure Centre is geared up and ready to celebrate its
10th year birthday celebrations with a range of activities, offers and
giveaways to celebrate a milestone date.
To mark their anniversary, the Centre is running a series of special events
on Monday 17th September and is opening its doors to the community.
The day will consist of free fitness passes, personal training taster
sessions, gym challenges, 10p swimming for children and a bake sale to name
just a few!
A look back on what the Centre has achieved over the last decade:
Over the 10 years, the Centre has welcomed generations of local families who
share the aim of keeping active. The changes made over the last 10 years
have given members a truly valuable experience.
At the start of 2018, the Centre was rated ‘Outstanding’ by leading quality
scheme, Quest.
From swimming, classes and the gym to holiday camps, parties and junior
activities, the Centre really does have something for everyone.
Mark Rawding, Contracts Manager for the Rotherham Leisure Centres shares his
thoughts on their 10-year celebration: “This really is a fantastic milestone
for Aston and what has been achieved in partnership with Rotherham
Metropolitan Borough Council and the communities we serve.
“We have always strived to provide a varied and exciting range of physical
activities and are committed to making the community a more active,
healthier and happier place. We’re excited to see what the next 10 years
will bring for our award-winning Centre.”
