A teenage boy is currently in hospital in a serious condition, with
potentially life-changing injuries, following a collision in the
Brierley area.
At around 1.45pm yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 20 March), the boy was
travelling along Common Road, on a white Moto Race scooter, when he is
said to have swerved to avoid another vehicle, described as a red 4×4,
travelling in the opposite direction.
The scooter then hit the kerb before colliding with a parked car,
causing minor damage to it. The collision happened close to the junction
of Norwood Drive.
The boy, 17, was taken to hospital, where he currently remains in a
serious but stable condition.
Officers want to hear from anyone who saw what happened, or who saw the
other vehicle, or a similar shaped vehicle.
