Teenager injured in Swinton collision

An AUDI driver was arrested after a teenage pedestrian suffered
life-changing injuries in a collision in the early hours of Saturday
morning.

Police were called to Bridge Street, Swinton, at around 2.45am after a
black Audi A4 collided with two pedestrians, a spokeswoman for South
Yorkshire Police said.

“A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries,”
she added.

“An 18-year-old man suffered minor injuries.

“The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old man, was arrested in
connection with the incident but has since been released under
investigation.”

Anyone with information about the incident should contact South
Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 121 of March 23.
