A GP practice in Mexborough closed its doors this morning (Friday) as a
precautionary measure after a patient attended the surgery with
suspected coronavirus symptoms.
The Advertiser understands that following national guidance, The New
Surgery on Adwick Road has closed and cancelled all appointments to
screen a patient with reported symptoms, who will be transferred to
their nearest coronavirus pod for further testing.
Patients can expect to see the surgery re-open later this afternoon
after the patient has been moved and the surgery has been cleaned.
There are currently no confirmed positive cases of coronavirus in
Doncaster.
