Article of 17 November 1876
On Saturday, at the Doncaster West Riding Petty Sessions, before Wm.
Aldam, Esq., and a full bench of magistrates, Robert Collinson, a miner,
of Bolton-on- Dearne. was brought up in custody charged with doing
grievous bodily harm to his wife, Harriet Collinson, with intent to
murder her. Mr. Hall appeared to prosecute. The prisoner had only just
been discharged from prison, where he had served twelve months for a
very brutal assault upon his wife, that assault being only one of a long
series….
