A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with a Sheffield murder investigation.
Khalid Mokadeh, 21, of The Oval, Sheffield, will appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 12 September) charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Mokadeh has been charged in connection to the death of a 31-year-old man who has now been named as Sami Khaled Saif Al-Sarsoori of Firth Park (pictured above).
Mr Al-Sarsoori received stab wounds during the incident at around midnight on Sunday 10 September in the Wensley Estate area of Sheffield.
He was taken to hospital where he died a short time later. Mr Al-Sarsoori’s family has asked that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.
Enquiries are ongoing and DCI Steve Whittaker, who is leading the murder investigation, appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
“If you witnessed the incident, or have any have any information that may be able to assist with our investigation, please report it via 101 quoting incident number 3 of 10 September 2017,” he said.
