Employers across the region attended a networking event to find out how
digital marketing can be used to help their business grow.

Attendees heard from Lance Brook, Digital Marketing Manager at Forward
and Thinking, who talked about a range of digital products available to
businesses to help them find and connect with customers and how to use
the products effectively to maximise the success of the campaign.

Suzan McGladdery, Director of Business Development at Barnsley College
provided an apprenticeship update, which included sharing how employers
can benefit from employing an apprentice and how Barnsley College can
help them recruit an apprentice or up-skill an existing workforce.

Lance said: “It was a pleasure to speak at the breakfast event and
connect with local businesses. It was fantastic to be able to give an
overview on a range of tools and products and understand the challenges
businesses have when it comes to marketing themselves on digital
platforms.”

Suzan added: “The event was a fantastic opportunity to meet people
working in different sectors and explain how we provide businesses with
a bespoke service to allow them to access funding and training support.”

Attendees will hear from Paul Hinchliffe, Partner, and Jon Taylor, Cloud
Accounting Manager at Harris+Co, who will explain what Making Tax
Digital for VAT is, how it will affect you, what you can do to ensure
your business is ready and what software packages will make your journey
to Making Tax Digital for VAT as smooth as possible. They will also
demonstrate some of the features these packages offer which make
