Police in Sheffield have released an image of a man they are keen to
speak to as part of an investigation into a reported sexual assault and
theft earlier this year.
On Friday 10 August, between 10.30-11pm, it is reported that an unknown
man sexually assaulted a woman in Barnsley Road, Sheffield, at the
junction with Norwood Avenue.
The man is then believed to have taken the woman’s mobile phone and
purse, which contained a quantity cash.
The woman, in her early 30s, has been left incredibly shaken and
distressed by the incident.
Despite extensive enquiries to identify the suspect, no arrests have
been made.
Officers believe the man pictured could hold vital information about the
incident and are appealing for him, or anyone who recognises him, to get
in touch.
