In preparation for the redevelopment of the Swinton town centre,
contractors working on behalf of Rotherham Council will shortly begin
site investigations.
This work will provide information on ground conditions, which will help
potential developers design and cost a scheme when the site is released
to the market for redevelopment.
The work is planned to take place on March 19 and 20, and will involve
the digging of several pits and boreholes across the whole site.
