Barnsley College is excited to launch a new Social Media for Business
apprenticeship.
Applicants can turn their love of social media into a career with the
Level 3 Diploma in Social Media for Business. This apprenticeship
programme offers people aged over 16 the opportunity to work in the
social media sector.
Consisting of four mandatory units and seven optional units, students
will learn about the principles of social media within a business,
collaborative technologies and social networking management for a
business alongside the opportunity to learn more about web development
and digital marketing campaigns.
Studying within the workplace and attending classes at Barnsley College,
applicants must hold a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above and
the programme will take a minimum of 15 months to complete. Upon
completion students may have the opportunity to progress onto the Level
4 HNC Diploma in Art and Design/Photography, Higher Apprenticeships or
apply for a range of job roles including Social Media Consultant, Social
Media Analyst or Digital Account Assistant.
Maureen Bullock, Head of Creative Industries at Barnsley College, said:
“Digital marketing and the use of social and digital media is a key part
of the marketing strategy for most businesses today. This course is a
foot in the door for any budding digital marketer or can be used by
businesses to advance and develop their existing workforce.”
