On Tuesday 26 March, South Yorkshire Police will host an event to raise
awareness around how to prevent and spot signs of modern slavery or
human trafficking.

The event will be held between 10am-3pm at Niagara Conference Centre,
Niagara Road, Sheffield S6 1LU.

This will be a really useful day for people, organisations and both
large and small businesses who are involved in the recruitment of staff
for manufacturing, construction and food processing, for example.

Hotels, recruitment agencies and other manufacturers are encouraged to
sign up and come along to the event.

The event aims to provide lots of information about ways to prevent
modern slavery or human trafficking within businesses and how to
minimise exploitation within the workforce.

A number of guest speakers will feature throughout the day, from the
University of Hull, Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority and the
Snowdrop Project, a charity providing support to survivors of human
trafficking.

To book a place at the event please email
antislavery@southyorks.pnn.police.uk.
