Two men charged with Rotherham burglaries

Two Rotherham men have been charged and remanded into custody following
a series of burglaries in the town.

Thomas Birbeck, 33 of Oldcoates Close, Dinnington, has been charged with
two counts of burglary. The charges relate to incidents committed in
June and July of this year where the Tesco store on Undergate Road and
the Co-Op on Woodhouse Green were broken into.

Cigarettes, phones and games were taken from Tesco and a quantity of
cigarettes from the Co-Op store.

John Williams, 26, of no-fixed-address, has been charged with one count
of burglary in relation to an offence committed in June, in which the
Co-Op store on Main Street, Swallownest was broken into. A large
quantity of cigarettes were stolen.

Both Williams and Birbeck have been remanded in to custody to appear
before Sheffield Crown Court at a later date.
