Four arrested in connection to post office robbery

Detectives investigating a robbery at a post office in the Scawthorpe
area of Doncaster have now arrested four people in connection to the
incident.

At around 1.30am on Monday 22 October, it was reported that two men
entered the store on Amersall Road, one carrying a machete and the other
what is believed to be a gun, before threatening staff and leaving with
a large amount of cash. No one was injured.

Yesterday (Thursday 25 October), a 39-year-old man was arrested on
suspicion of armed robbery. He currently remains in police custody.

A further three arrests were made last night, with a 27-year-old man
being arrested on suspicion of robbery and two women, aged 34 and 29,
arrested for conspiracy to commit robbery and assisting an offender.
They are all currently in custody.
