Part of the old magistrates court site will be used as a car park, under
new council plans.
RMBC has asked for permission for 50 pay and display spaces at The Statutes
in the town centre.
The courts were demolished after being closed by the Government in 2016 and
sold to Rotherham Borough Council for £1 in spring last year.
The site is part of the wider Forge Island development. Work is set to begin
next year and include a cinema, food and drinks outlets and a hotel.
